Dennis Smejkal enjoys an AV rating, the highest rating assigned by the Martindale-Hubbell. He has been listed by the Best Lawyers in America since 2005, Florida Super Lawyers 2007 and Orlando, The City’s Magazine Top Lawyers Since 2005. He is a past chairman of the Executive Council, Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, now known as the Florida Justice Association. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Workers’ Advocates, a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.
Having grown up in Brevard County, Dennis Smejkal attended the Brevard County Public School system. After three years in the U.S. Navy he attended Brevard Community College while in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1982, then Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1987. He began representing injured workers’ in the law firm of Hurt & Parrish, P.A. from 1988 to 1993, then was a partner at the law firm of Parrish & Smejkal, P.A. 1993 to 2008. He has now established The Law Office of Dennis Dean Smejkal, P.A and will continue his representation of injured persons. Headquartered in Orlando, he continues to practice throughout Central Florida.
